The video is a culmination of a 2-year educational program developed by the League of Women Voters.
The half-hour program shows the dangers to our water supply from stormwater pollution
and describes ways this can be minimized through regulations, innovative preventive measures by
government and private development, and citizen awareness.

"Our clean water supply is threatened by development and pollution,"
said Heather Baker-Sullivan, LWVW Land Use Chair.
"The video explains some of the successful programs found elsewhere."

Right now is the most important time to influence decisions on water quality policies.
Yet most residents, even local officials, know little about the problem-- or the solutions.
New regulations ( Phase II Stormwater Rule) will affect your property, business, taxes and health.
While much of the funding burden will fall on local government, many of the preventive measures
will save money in the long run.

Become involved now. Let your officials know that water quality is a top priority.
